From Noferin, makers of the wooden Pecan Pals, (of which we now have the monotone series!!!!)
we just got in the JIBIBUTS mini blind boxed wooden figures. Jibibuts are long-lived forest
dwellers native to the west coast of
Carrara Island. Found mostly in moist temperate climates,
they scurry
about the forest floor consuming all manner of fallen leaf litter.
Jibibuts sp.,
are important biological indicators of forest health.
Specimens discovered by the Biological
Institute of Carrara.
About the wood used: Like all Noferin wooden pieces, Jibibuts are made from 100%
sustainably harvested wood. They are made from rubber tree wood that
would otherwise
go to waste. Rubber trees are planted for their rubber,
and after about 20 years, their
rubber yields start to diminish. We use
this beautiful wood, thus saving it from the fire pit.
No two Jibibuts look the same. They all have very unique
markings due to the wood grain.
Some are spotted, some have a marbled
look, some are a mixture of the two.
