Please join us on Thursday, November 11th for a workshop with Tish Brewer, (who also
taught the super fun Paper Sculpture and super popular Paper Marbling Workshop) for
a Jacob's Ladder workshop!  Jacob's ladders are the most ancient and famous folk toy,
and we'll be making this toy into a book! When the book is held at one end, the boards
appear to cascade down the ribbons, a fascinating optical illusion. Come learn how to
engineer this clever contraption, which makes a great gift for the upcoming holiday season.
Plenty of colorful materials will be provided, or bring your own ribbon, drawings, postcards,
photos, and other ephemera to really personalize it!

Prints by Holding Pattern

Join us on Thursday, August 12th, 6 to 9pm for a screenprinting workshop with Mike
Arreaga and Brian McCorquodale of Holding Pattern. These guys do amazing screenprint
posters and art!

This workshop will include in-depth instruction on how to prep & burn a screen and then
supervised printing at your own printing stations. Now, this is the really EXCITING part -
you'll go home with your own pre-burned screened that you can use again and again,
10" squeegee, and tabletop screenprinting set up.

By popular request, Paper Nerds are back Saturday, August 7th for our their second
paper marbling workshop! We sold out last time, so sign up soon before space fills up!

In paper marbling, delicate, swirled smoke-like patterns are produced on paper when
colors of ink or paint are floated on the surface of the water. In this workshop, you'll
learn to make a size bath for floating colors with carrageenan,  which is an extract from
red seaweeds. We will be marbling various papers for use as bookmarks, greeting cards,
gift tags, wrapping papers, and a thousand other possibilities. We'll also be trying our hands
at marbling different fabrics. All supplies will be included, but be sure to wear some studio
clothes or bring an apron.

HOW TO START YOUR OWN T-SHIRT BRAND WITH FUR FACE BOY

We meet FUR FACE BOY a few weeks ago because of Johnny Cupcakes at his suitcase
tour here. Yes, JC and his brand does bring people together! Since then we've got to know
FUR FACE BOY better, we attended his super cool Series 3 Release Party at the Centre,
started carrying his shirts in our shop, and even shared some fried chicken (with ketchup!)

From Dallas, FUR FACE BOY already has an international following (some of his fans even
got tattoos of his designs!) Generous and super nice, he's been sharing info with his
fans on how to start their own t-shirt brands. So, we're totally jazzed to have him here for
a workshop / meet & greet / high-five party. Word is, FFB is gonna make a special collab
shirt just for this event! In his own words...
