Workshops

All our workshops are designed to offer you high-quality instruction and information in a relaxed and friendly setting. Ideas can be discussed and projects undertaken gradually at the pace of the student. Small group sizes and an informal atmosphere mean that you can learn from practice, observation, and discussion with other students. Workshops are held in our shop’s studio space, unless otherwise specified. Check back often for event dates and schedules. WE ARE 1976 loves to collaborate with artists, schools, art clubs, and other organizations for workshops. Please contact us for more information.

 

Book Lamp Workshop with Tish Brewer

Please join us on Thursday, February 24th for a workshop with Tish Brewer, (who also
taught the super fun Paper Sculpture, Paper Marbling and Jacob's Ladder Workshop) for
a FAN-FOLDED PAPER LAMP WORKSHOP! We were at Tish's studio a few weeks ago
and saw this light hanging in her space and immediately asked her to teach this workshop.
So gorgeous upclose and would look perfect above a dining table or in a cozy reading nook.

Don't abandon print completely...adorn a hanging cord set with fan folded books! At this
workshop, you'll fold recycled books into various shapes to make a hanging lamp.
(Additional cord sets can be purchased for an additional $5. paperback books will be provided,
but bring your own if you have some you're looking to up-cycle!)


DATE: Thursday, February 24th, starts at 6:00pm to 8:30pm
