Join us on SATURDAY, MARCH 13th 11am-1pm for our PAPER FLOWER SCULPTURE
workshop with Paper Nerds!
Learn to create paper flowers from recycled pages of vintage books. Students will produce
a bouquet composed of delicate paper flowers and branches found in nature. Tish and
Shannon will also demonstrate a technique used in paper conservation to tone paper in baths
of acrylic paint and water. The dyed pages will be used to create brightly coloured paper petals
to contrast with the creamy colours of the old book pages. Students will also receive a goody
bag compliments of Shannon and Tish!
During the work week, Shannon Driscoll and Tish Brewer spend their day repairing damaged
works of art on paper ranging from torn prints, discoloured maps, bug eaten posters, stained
paper ephemera, moldy manuscripts, and the list goes on. They have owned and operated
The Center for Art Conservation, located in Exposition Park for just over two years.
Workshop Costs $45 (All materials included.)
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. workshop@weare1976.com or 214-821-1976
